We Are The Technology and The Terrain
The Creative Power of Fascia to Regenerate Body and Soul
A dear friend quoted 'we are the technology' in a conversation we were having last week. She attributed it to Dr. William Bushnell, a mentor and collaborator of hers, who is an MIT-affiliated biophysical anthropologist.
It speaks to me of the power of our senses to shrink or expand our perception. It also speaks of the power of our agency and the tragic consequences of unresolved trauma.
Thankfully, there is a lot of new and not so new research confirming our extraordinary abilities to dissolve trauma and expand our perceptions to foster empathy and the eros needed to regenerate our lives and our culture.
Understanding the miraculous technology of the quantum anatomy plays a big part in this but, and I cannot stress this enough, it is NOT rocket science. Our bioplasmic bodies have been with us forever and will remain after the physical body dies. There are practices to restore and strengthen the cellular metabolism of the photons in the technology in our plasmic-selves, technology like the spin of the microbulues and the quality of the body's water to surround and protect every cell from the myriad of toxins in the modern world.
It is also important to understand that the effects of long-term chronic stress and trauma are one of the worst culprits we face. So, as we face the monster and engage in a battle for our personal and collective freedoms, we must know how to stay as healthy and well resourced as we possibly can. I am not only speaking about resilience here. Although resilience is a wonderful thing, it is not enough. Resilience gets you on your feet again, functioning within the old paradigm that knocked you on your ass before. It's kind of like waiting for the other shoe to drop. You're stuck in the old fight-flight-fawn-freeze cycle, feeling cut off and like there is something about you that needs fixing. By all means, be resilient and aim for regeneration. This means envision the emergence of something new, something good, true and beautiful. Set your intention, do the right practices, pray, gather and hold sacred ceremonies. Befriend the unseen, unmanifest possibilities.
Both/Andness
We must realize they are not two. The material exists with the nonmaterial. Atoms exist with quantum particles. My healing exists within the systems of my family, environment and culture.
This is where terrain comes in. External terrains like creating opportunities to build and strengthen our personal and community support systems is something we must do and while doing so, let's also do the same for our internal terrains.
Fascia, both the classical physical parts and the quantum parts, makes up our internal architecture and our ability to photosynthesize light, consciousness and energy to regenerate us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
It is both the territory of our incarnated being and the carrier of the eros that animates it. This is why we are both the technology we have been waiting for and the terrain in which to embody our own evolution.
